"If there’s a diamond in WA’s event calendar, it’s the Airnorth Kimberley Moon Experience. It brings the Argyle Diamonds Ord Valley Muster to a spectacular close as cowboys and corporates congregate on the banks of the Ord River in Kununurra for the Kimberley’s answer to the Leeuwin concert.

It’s the weekend where city slickers fly in to hug trees (and, if you’re gonna hug one it might as well be a big, fat boab), spot crocs, snag a barra or take a dawn flight over the Bungle Bungles. There are boat cruises, BBQs, cocktails and remote bush stays before the big Saturday night do which this year featured Marcia Hines and her seven-piece band.

It’s a long way to go for a party, but this is one hell of a party and there’s something magical about dancing wildly under a Kimberley moon as fireworks explode in the night sky."
