Yes, we’re finally on the home stretch! Everything is in place for the ninth-annual Argyle Diamonds Ord Valley Muster and Airnorth Kimberley Moon Experience. And to quote another famous Aussie - we’re excited! We can’t wait to see all our fantastic sponsors and supporters in person and share the Muster spirit with you. MOON REMINDERS

A couple of quick reminders for everyone attending the Airnorth Kimberley Moon Experience on Saturday.

  • Free transport is available from all accommodation houses and the Kununurra Post Office, departing every 15 minutes from 3pm (returning between 10pm and 12.30am). Remember, parking is limited at the Jim Hughes Ampitheatre.
  • The concert is family-friendly – but please remember children must be supervised at all times.
  • You can BYO picnic blanket, esky, food and drinks (extra food and non-alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase at the venue).
  • Smoking will be restricted to designated areas only.
  • A limited number of general admission tickets are still available. See the Kununurra Visitor Centre for tickets.
  • Gates open at 3.30pm and the entertainment kicks off at 4.00pm. See the full performer schedule here.

Finally – relax, soak up the magic of the full moon, and enjoy!

WEATHER UPDATE

For those of you heading north for the Muster, the weather is looking picture perfect! Mostly sunny days with a maximum temperature of around 33 degrees, falling to around 19 degrees at night. No need to pack the winter woollies – this is perfect weather for exploring, adventuring and partying! For all the latest weather information, click here.

JOIN THE CIRCLE

A limited number of Silver Circle tickets are still available. Perfect for those who want to save the hassle of organising their own picnic, Silver Circle tickets include exclusive viewing of the concert with premium beach seating and a gourmet picnic hamper. Tickets are available for $200 each (BYO alcohol) and can be purchased from the Muster office by calling 08 9168 2720 or email. BUt hurry - they wont last!

HIT THE ROAD - PART TWO

Last edition we looked at the iconic hot spots of the East Kimberley. Here we highlight five more things to do and places to visit.

Visit Mirima (Hidden Valley) National Park - Often referred to as a mini version of the Bungle Bungle range, Mirima National Park just north of Kununurra, offers bushwalking and stunning views over the East Kimberley.

Experience the thrill of an abseilGo Wild Adventure Tours can take you to The Grotto, Andy’s Chasm, Elephant Rock and many more.

Visit Wyndham – the most northern town in Western Australia to see the view from The Bastion of Cambridge Gulf where the five rivers meet. Plus, don’t miss a visit to the Zoological Gardens and Crocodile Park - home of 3,000 crocodiles and five Komodo dragons.

Go canoeing on Lake Kununurra and cool-off with a swim afterwards.

Take a hike - for the walker who wants to get away from it all, the remote areas of the Berkeley River, The King George Falls and Mitchell Plateau offer adventure bushwalking into areas considered some of the most remote in Western Australia.
