The East Kimberley comes to life at the Visions of the East Kimberley movie night. Featuring a selection of short films, the event includes the Kimberley Moments Home Video Competition where locals and visitors have captured their favourite Kimberley moment on video and the audience gets to choose the winning entry! First prize is a trip for the whole family to Voyages El Questro’s Emma Gorge Resort for two nights.
Premiering in 2008 is The East Kimberley, My Home My Heart, a half hour journey through the region as seen through the eyes of well-known locals and celebrities, produced by local filmmaker Vicky Biorac. You’ll also enjoy short films made by Kununurra school students during the annual Bush Magic Film Workshops with the team from the fabulous Kids TV show, The Big Arvo. Plus don’t miss highlights from the making of Baz Lurhmann’s Australia, snipets of previous Ord Valley Muster events, and our favourite over-the-top outback adventure guru, Russell Coight.
Visions of the East Kimberley is produced by local company, B Visual Media.

Discover the stunning countyside around Kununurra with the help of an experienced guide. Each walk is between 3 and 5km in length with occassional steep climbs and descents through rugged terrain.
While these walks are not for the faint-hearted, they are designed for genial nature lovers who like a challenge.
So if you are of reasonable fitness and an early riser - why not discover Kununurra on foot. You will need boots or covered in footwear, water (carried in a backpack) and long trousers or gaiters. Your boots may get wet and muddy on some walks - but we promise, the effort will be worth the reward.
